Home Economics & Hospitality

The Food Technology Department has recently moved into a specially designed suite of rooms. These facilities are aimed at providing the best possible learning environment for the students studying Home Economics and Hospitality.

“In these courses you get to learn lots of new skills, you get to COOK, you get to EAT and you get to clean up. You will learn proper knife handling skills, new words and terms used in restaurants around the world, how to wait on a table and many methods of cooking.
What do you get out of it? Well let’s see? You’ll get good food if you cook well, knowledge of nutrition so you can keep yourself healthy, some meal planning ideas to make it all easy and lots of cooking skills to make life fun and travelling hassle-free since you can work anywhere. Plus of course in the senior school, you get about 12 credits per year.”
