- Disparities in development in countries - USA and Tanzania
- National geographic issues - geographic research in an urban environment, and global patterns.
Field trip: Auckland City
Year 13
- Natural Processes; coastal processes – North Taranaki
- Cultural Processes; tourism development – Rotorua and Phuket
- The role of geography in planning and decision-making, local issues, geographic research, and analysis of global patterns.
Field trip: Rotorua, North Taranaki Coast, and an optional field trip to Phuket, Thailand.
