  • Geographic research on Mt Taranaki,
  • Global patterns and GIS.

    Field trip: Mt Taranaki


Year 12

  • Urban settlements - Auckland and Singapore
  • The evolution of natural landscapes - Amazon and South Island
  • Disparities in development in countries - USA and Tanzania
  • National geographic issues - geographic research in an urban environment, and global patterns.

    Field trip: Auckland City


Year 13

  • Natural Processes; coastal processes – North Taranaki
  • Cultural Processes; tourism development – Rotorua and Phuket
  • The role of geography in planning and decision-making, local issues, geographic research, and analysis of global patterns.

    Field trip:  Rotorua, North Taranaki Coast, and an optional field trip to Phuket, Thailand.
