In Year 9 and 10 the curriculum seeks to provide a broad based general education, but still with individual choice which introduces you to some of the subjects you can take in the senior school.
In Year 11 the curriculum is still broad-based, but there is some opportunity to begin to specialise in subjects that are of greatest importance or interest to you.
The opportunity to specialise is taken further in Years 12 and 13 as you prepare for further study and participation in the workforce.
Year 12 - 14 students may choose a course in which not all subjects are studied at the same level. This flexibility provides students with the opportunity to:
- choose from a wider range of subjects;
- shape a course suited to their individual needs;
- choose almost any combination of subjects at or below their year level;
- reinforce learning where they are experiencing difficulties;
- develop basic skills to equip them in the competition for employment.
