Adventure racing

Adventure Racing is a popular and growing multi-disciplinary sport which combines physical skills, endurance, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. NPBHS is pleased to be able to offer students the opportunity to develop in this area with a range of activities and events offered, often in conjunction with New Plymouth Girls’ High School.

New Plymouth Boys’ High School is one of New Zealand’s leading schools in Adventure Racing. Students have the opportunity to compete in mountain-running, orienteering, rogaining, and adventure races.

Taranaki’s natural environment gives students easy access to great adventure opportunities: kayaking, rock-climbing, skiing, mountain-climbing and hiking, and mountain-biking to name a few.
