Mountain Biking

Mountain biking is an exhilarating and exciting sport that will test your body to the limit. We cater to any level of mountain biker, from boys that are just beginning to high-performance riders.

Mountain biking is an all-year-round sport with fantastic facilities, including Mangamahoe and Busing Forest, both fantastic mountain bike parks.

You will need a capable mountain bike, preferably with disc brakes and with a wheel size of 26 inches or higher. Fully suspended bikes are also recommended.

During the winter months of the year, training is every Wednesday, with a van rented to take up to 16 boys out to bike parks in the region.

During the summer months of the year, boys have the opportunity to compete in high-performance mountain biking events, such as TSSA MTB out at Mangamahoe Bike Park, and for extremely high-performance riders, the annual Crankworx festival, at the world-renowned Skyline Gravity MTB Park, in Rotorua.
