The school offers tennis players of all levels the opportunity to be part of a Tennis Academy Programme established in 2015 that focuses on developing fundamental skills in addition to an environment of personal development via their academic subjects.

The academy uses high quality outside coaches who have significant credibility and a proven ability to produce junior players of the highest standard in New Zealand Tennis. Pictured is 16-year-old Ajeet Rai, a current pupil, who is the number 1 ranked U18 in New Zealand.

All tennis players have the opportunity to compete in a number of inter-school games and to qualify for the national tennis competition on selection.

The tennis team has games against Hamilton BHS, Palmerston North Boys’ and Wanganui Collegiate as well as national qualifying games.

Training:

Uniform and Equipment: Students are expected to provide their racquet but the school provides playing shirt for inter-school games.

Tennis Academy Fees are term by term as outlined in the Tennis Academy application form.
