World School International Forum – 2020

World School International Forum 2020 in Japan Are you a Yr 12-13 student? Are you interested in learning about other cultures? Would you like to represent our School by attending an International Forum Sunday 17 - 29 September in Japan? This year’s host school will be Kanto International School. Towards 2021-2025 NCEA Change Package

In 2018, the Government undertook a review of NCEA and released the findings in a change package in 2019. These changes will gradually introduced over the next five years with full implementation in 2025. The school will be putting in place an implementation plan during 2020 and it is important that parents and students start to understand the changes ahead. Late Enrolment Process

The school is closed from Wednesday 18th December until Monday 27th January 2020. Students who want to enrol at New Plymouth Boys’ High School will need to have an enrolment interview with a senior staff member in the last week of January 2020. At the enrolment interview you will need to bring:  A completed enrolment form. A birth certificate or passport. A copy of recent school reports. Measles information for schools

16 August, 2019 The Taranaki Public Health Unit has confirmed a second case of measles in Taranaki this week, and is warning teachers and parents to be aware of the signs and symptoms. Measles spreads easily via coughing and sneezing. Symptoms include a high fever along with a runny nose, hacking cough, sore red eyes, followed by a rash three to five days later which starts on the head and spreads down the body. Well done, Robbie White!

On Monday, 5th August, the Deputy Commissioner of NZ Police, Mr Wallace Haumaha came to NPBHS and presented year 11 student, Robbie White with his national award. Robbie won the Race Unity Speech Awards National Final. The boys responded by showing their respect to Robbie - something he will cherish for the rest of his life. What a reflection of race unity!
