NPBHS 1st in Surfing Competition

The NPBHS surfing team recently competed in the Gisborne invitational surf competition in Gisborne The team was competing against  Gisborne Boys’ High School, Tauranga Boys’ College and Campion College. The Results saw in the U14 boys, Tom Butland 2nd and Hunter Peterson 4th. The Under 16 Boys, Sam Dingle 1st, Lucca Lind 2nd and Isaac Kettle won the U18 boys.Read more

Festival of Sport

The New Plymouth Boys’ High School sports performance programme are offering a Festival of Sport on Friday 22 July for Year 6- 8 boys. School Production

New Plymouth Boys’ High School and New Plymouth Girls’ High School have a combined school production from 31st May - 2nd June. This is an hilarious and touching story about a friendship that spans 30 years, two cultures and one street. The story is written by Oscar Kightley from Sione’s Wedding and Bro’ Town fame and Dave Armstrong. Michael Mcleod – ANZAC Speech

Michael McLeod Year 12 represented the School, and the Taranaki-Wellington West Coast region for the ANZ RSA CYRIL BASSET VC SPEECH COMPETITION, where he won the Regional Finals held in Wanganui, and came Third in the National Speech Competition held at Pukeahu National War Memorial in Wellington on Wednesday 23rd of March. The school Cross Country took place at the end of term 1, on a rather damp day. Mac Rowe was the first Junior home, Calum Sutherland won the Intermediate and Angus White the Senior. Sailing results

A very successful regatta was held at Algies Bay and our New Plymouth Boys High Team performed very well in a very tight competition. The team of Josh Van Bergen, Will Lightbody, George Trvdeich, William Pritt, Ben Crane and Hayden Benton improved four places from last years competition to finish in eighth place overall in the gold fleet. The team can take pride in having a victory over all of their competition teams with the exception of KeriKeri the eventual champions. Congratulations to the team for a great season.Read more
