Careers & Pathways
The term ‘Pathways’ is widely heard around New Zealand Education.
It is an initiative that is designed to assist the student focus on areas of study that will enable them to pursue a vocation in an area of their interest and ability. Each assessment offered by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority is linked to a range of possible pathways.
The pathways are:
- Construction and Infrastructure.
- Manufacture and Technology.
- The Primary Industries.
- The Service Industries.
- Social and Community Services.
Each student at New Plymouth Boys’ High School will have an interview at Years 10, 11 and 12 to assist them in choosing a course around their chosen pathway(s).
