This course is designed for students who wish to gain an understanding of how the material world operates. Any students wishing to undertake university course in chemistry should take this course. It covers properties and thermodynamics, organic chemistry, equilibria, redox and spectroscopy.

This course is designed for students who enjoy Chemistry and wish to gain a basic understanding of how the material world operates through a petrochemical context. For those students wishing to undertake university courses in Chemistry, the Level 3 Chemistry course is more suitable.
