Cross-Country is a winter sport open to boys from Year 9 through to 13. Our team trains as a squad twice a week after school, and we encourage additional fitness work for all participants.

Many of our boys are also involved in other winter sports, and it's important to note that all our competitions emphasize teamwork rather than solely catering to elite runners.

There are five main events on the schools cross-country calendar. The school event is held in April, along with our exchange with Auckland Grammar School early in Term 2. This is followed closely by the Taranaki championships and the Super 8 competition.  Towards the end of June the Nationals are held.  The school also competes in the Whanganui and Taranaki Road Relays held during the 3rd term as well as a selection of local events.
