Clifton Rowing Club caters for beginners in the sport and particularly encourages High School students to try it out. If you’re 14 or over, keen to row competitively or non-competitively, or would like to be a coxswain, then we’d love to meet you. The sport is a great way to get fit, meet new friends, have fun and potentially compete all around New Zealand for the club and your school (e.g. Maadi Cup and North Island Secondary School Championships).

The club is located in Waitara with training and regattas held during the summer months, with the season starting in September/October.

Look out for our Learn to Row and Open House sessions during the Winter months (generally held on a Sunday), or contact the Club directly at any time of the year to find out more about the club and try it out (click on the club link below for contact details). Bring a friend along too!

Water-based sports always require a competent swimming ability, so please bear that in mind.
